DIXIE FUND

This Fund was set up in Memory of Dixe. This sweet girl was found on death row in an over-crowded animal control facility in Louisiana. She had been terribly abused and was extremely frightened. In the midst of medical treatment to save her life Dixe crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, but not before her kind eyes and gentle nature touched our hearts.
*All donations will be used to pay for veterinary treatment/ supplies that go beyond basic vetting.
All donators will receive a tax receipt. You can donate via (PayPal account) or you can mail a cheque.

Support our rescue efforts by purchasing one of these beautiful limited editiont-shirts for $20.00. All monies will go twards saving the lives of animals in life and death situations. Just as this shirt depicts, these little ones are such loyal friends when given a chance.

This is the very courageous Butr. While other 9 month old pups are running the beach and playing in the doggy park, Butr is confined to his home due to a sudden onset of paralysis. This boy needs our help. We would like to pay for an MRI as well as provide Butr with a wheelchair so that his muscles do not atropy. Butr weighs approx. 75 lbs so it is difficult for his mom to life him. He is currently being carried around in a cart so that he can go out into the yard and breath the fresh air. Together we can give Butr his dignity and show him that the happy life he once led is not over. Please help us to this end. A wheelchair for this boy will cost $600.00. This is a small price to pay when you think of the immense happiness this dog will experience. The cost of an MRI will be 1000.00. This is a young dog folks, lets give him a chance.
Update: Aug. 27, 2008: Butr has an appointment at Canada West Veterinary Hospital (Thanks to Dhanametta Rescue and its donors read more) for some diagnostic work. We will keep you posted with the results. Depending on his needs, we will announce a fundraiser. We hope at that time you will consider partnering with us to help Butr have a future filled all the good things he deserves.
